Modern websites doesn’t display static menus on mobile devices because of limited space on smaller screens. Instead, you can use “side menu”, a built-in feature in Ueldo WordPress theme, which allows you to display your mobile menu in beauty & functional way.
Where to configure side menu?
Go to “Ueldo” – “Theme Options” page in your WordPress admin panel, and find “Side menu” options group. You can find there multiple options which allows you to fit the side menu to your website needs.
You can choose between three visibility options for your side menu:
this will cause that your side menu is always visible on large & medium devices,
- Flying (default: hidden)
this will cause that your side menu is hidden by default, and doesn’t take any space from your website on large and medium devices,
- Flying (default: visible)
this will cause that your side menu is visible by default, and doesn’t take any space from your website on large and medium devices,
Additional content before & after menu
You can add also an additional content before and/or after menu items. This can be used for your website logo insertion, you can use it for your copyright notice or put there anything else you want. Styles, sizes & colors
In the same options group you can configure your menu position, enable or disable opacity animation, choose menu links font and change all sizes & spaces.
If you want to change colors of your side menu and elements inside, go to “Appearance” – “Customize” in your WordPress admin panel, open “Theme colors” – “Side menu” option group and do your changes there. How to open / close side menu on non-default header bar?
If you use custom header bar, instead of default one, then you’ll need to add additional button which will show or hide the side menu on click. All predefined header bars already contains dedicated buttons for that, but if you decide to build your custom header bar, then please just follow this steps:
- add new “Button” Ueldo WordPress theme element to your header bar,
- open this button settings popup,
- find “Action after click on button” field and choose the “Show / hide side menu” value in selection list,
- do your style configurations and save changes
