You might want to add sidebar to page which is built with WPBakery Page Builder (formerly: Visual Composer), and use all sections available with this tool on the same page. But, how to do it?
How it usually works?
WPBakery Page Builder (formerly: Visual Composer) comes with “Widgetised Sidebar” shortcode. Add it to single column and choose sidebar you want to display there (read more about custom sidebars here). That’s it!
Sidebar will be displayed correctly, but there will no be the “border line” which is visible on sidebars on blog pages. If you want to add it to your page sidebar, then you’ll need to add two extra classes to columns and one for row.
Extra class names for columns
To get the “border line” between sidebar and content columns, you’ll need to add extra class names for both of this columns:
- ueldo-row-with-sidebar-sidebar-column for column which contains sidebar,
- ueldo-row-with-sidebar-content-column for column which contains content
After that, open “Row settings” popup, and add one of this extra class names for row:
- ueldo-row-with-sidebar-on-right if your sidebar should be displayed on right hand side,
- ueldo-row-with-sidebar-on-left if your sidebar should be displayed on left hand side
Save changes and check your website – that’s it!
How to open Row or Column settings popup?
Simply click on “pen” icon on top right side of selected row or column, to open its settings popup:
